Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller of the personal data described in this policy is Slotmaster News, Av. da Liberdade, 245 – 5o Andar, Lisboa, 1250-143, Portugal. You can reach us at info@slotmaster.news.
This policy explains what we collect when you use slotmaster.news, why we collect it, who receives it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It also serves as our privacy notice for readers in Mexico and Chile.
2. What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect names, payment details or identity documents. We process the following:
- Server and CDN logs. Our hosting provider, Netlify, records technical data for every request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and device type. IP addresses are personal data.
- Analytics cookies and identifiers. If you accept analytics cookies in our consent banner, Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies containing a random client ID and records the pages you view, time on page, an approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser details, and the source that brought you to the site. Cookie IDs are personal data even though they do not contain your name. None of this is collected before you accept.
- Outbound click events. When you click a link to an operator, the link carries UTM and sub-ID parameters that identify this site and the placement you clicked (for example a position in the ranking or a button in a review), so the operator or its affiliate network can attribute the referral to us. These parameters contain no personal data about you. If you have accepted analytics cookies, we also record an outbound click event in Google Analytics with the casino and placement only, with no personal identifiers.
- Email correspondence. If you write to us, we keep your email address, your message and anything you attach, including complaints about operators. Please do not send us passwords, seed phrases or payment details.
3. Why we use your data and on what legal basis
- Running and securing the site (server and CDN logs): our legitimate interest in keeping the site available, preventing abuse and diagnosing errors (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).
- Measuring how the site is used (Google Analytics 4): your consent (article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
- Attributing referrals to operators (UTM and sub-ID parameters): our legitimate interest in being paid for the referrals we generate (article 6(1)(f)). The related analytics event is based on your consent.
- Answering your emails and handling complaints: taking steps at your request (article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in responding to you and keeping a record of what was said (article 6(1)(f)).
- Complying with the law, for example responding to a lawful request from an authority (article 6(1)(c)).
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Who receives your data and international transfers
- Netlify, Inc. (hosting and CDN). Processes server logs on our behalf on servers in the United States and the European Union.
- Google(Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC) for Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4. Analytics data may be processed in the United States. Transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the additional safeguards in Google's data processing terms. Google acts as our processor for Analytics.
- Affiliate networks and operators. When you click an operator link, they receive the UTM and sub-ID parameters in the URL, which identify this site and the placement, together with whatever your own browser sends to their site, such as your IP address. They never receive your name, email address or any other personal data from us. Once you are on their site, their privacy policy applies.
- Email provider. Our mailbox is hosted by a third-party provider that processes your messages for us.
- Authorities, where we are required to do so by law or a court order.
5. How long we keep your data
- Server and CDN logs: up to 30 days.
- Google Analytics 4 data, including outbound click events: 14 months, after which Google deletes the event-level data. Aggregated reports that cannot identify you may be kept longer.
- Email correspondence, including complaints: 24 months after the last message in the conversation, unless we need to keep it longer to deal with a legal claim.
- Your consent choice: stored in your browser until you clear it or change it, so that we can remember your decision.
6. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can email us at info@slotmaster.news to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how we use it. We reply within one month, or sooner where local law requires. We may ask for information to confirm your identity before acting on a request. Your specific rights depend on where you live.
European Economic Area and Portugal (GDPR)
You have the right to access your data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict or object to processing based on our legitimate interests, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that took place before. You can also lodge a complaint with the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), the Portuguese supervisory authority, or with the supervisory authority in the country where you live.
Mexico (LFPDPPP)
If you are in Mexico, the Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares applies, as replaced by the new federal law published in 2025. You have ARCO rights: access, rectification, cancellation and opposition. You may also revoke your consent and ask us to limit the use or disclosure of your data. To exercise these rights, email us with your name, a way to confirm your identity (we may ask for a copy of an identity document and will delete it after checking it), a clear description of the data concerned and the right you are exercising, and any detail that helps us find the data. We respond within the period set by the law. This policy is our privacy notice (aviso de privacidad). If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the federal authority responsible for personal data protection, currently the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno, which took over the functions of INAI.
Chile (Ley 19.628 and Ley 21.719)
If you are in Chile, Ley 19.628 on the protection of private life currently applies and gives you rights of access, rectification, cancellation and blocking, which you can exercise by emailing us. Chile's new data protection law, Ley 21.719, replaces it and its main provisions enter into force on 1 December 2026. From that date you will have expanded rights, including portability and objection, and a new supervisory authority, the Agencia de Protección de Datos Personales, will handle complaints. We will apply the new regime as soon as it takes effect.
7. Cookies and consent
When you first visit, a consent banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. We use Google Consent Mode v2: until you accept, analytics storage is denied and Google Analytics does not set cookies or record your visit.
- Necessary. The only item stored without your consent is your consent choice itself, so the banner does not reappear on every page. It is needed for the site to respect your decision and is not used for anything else.
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager). Cookies such as _ga and _ga_* hold a random client ID so that Google can tell returning visits apart. They are set only after you accept and are stored for the period set by Google unless you delete them earlier.
You can change your mind at any time. Open Cookie settings to withdraw or give consent, or delete cookies in your browser. Withdrawing consent stops future collection but does not delete data already sent to Google; if you want that data deleted, email us and we will request deletion.
8. Children
This site is about gambling and is not directed at anyone under 18, or under the legal gambling age where you live if it is higher. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to logs, analytics and our mailbox is limited to the people who need it. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not email us passwords, seed phrases or payment details.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If we make a material change, such as a new purpose or a new recipient, we will highlight it on the site and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again.
11. Contact
